Join the Compiler Team within ColdQuanta’s Quantum Software division as a Quantum Software Engineer. In this dynamic role, you will design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge quantum compilation software while engaging in co-design initiatives across the complete quantum stack, including applications, algorithms, hardware, and control systems. This position combines hands-on programming, code reviewing, and system architecture with innovative research and development. We welcome applications from both entry-level and seasoned professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in research and development focused on groundbreaking advancements in quantum technology, particularly in quantum compilation, as outlined in research paper and research paper.
  • Implement software optimizations on our cloud platform, Superstaq, utilizing industry-standard software engineering practices, including comprehensive documentation, linting, rigorous testing, and type-checking.
  • Collaborate with Superstaq customers to identify their requirements and provide prompt support.
  • Contribute to the preparation of government and commercial proposals and ensure successful execution of global projects.
  • Work closely with experimental physicists and fellow software engineers to translate theoretical concepts into practical applications.
  • Participate in the broader scientific community by publishing research findings in journals and presenting at conferences.
  • Keep abreast of the latest advancements in quantum computer architecture and quantum compilation.
  • Mentor and support fellow team members, fostering a collaborative research environment.
