What Do You Bring?A completed Master's degree in technical sciences, systems engineering, military sciences, or operations research;At least 4 years of relevant work experience;Experience in operational analysis with the ability to dissect complex issues and translate them into actionable solutions;Aspirations to become an expert/advisor in MOA and to translate new technological developments into innovation and practical solutions;A team player with excellent interpersonal skills;Outstanding communication skills in both Dutch and English (C1 level);A curious, independent, and inventive personality;Affinity for innovative modeling and simulation technology;Knowledge of (military) aviation operations is a plus.

About the job

What Will You Do?

As an R&D Engineer for Military Operational Analysis (MOA), you will collaborate closely with colleagues across various disciplines and the Defense sector. This role offers a challenging blend of research and practical application. You will tackle complex MOA issues for the Defense by utilizing simulation techniques and insights into military systems. This includes addressing questions related to the procurement and optimal deployment of manned and unmanned systems, mission optimization, decision-making in operations, and wargaming.

You will apply your knowledge in system sciences, analytical methodologies, and military systems and doctrines to resolve multi-domain MOA challenges. You will also steer new MOA research and devise innovative solutions together with colleagues and other (international) R&D institutes. In essence, you are a generalist driven to approach MOA challenges in a structured and scientific manner, becoming a trusted advisor for the Defense.
