We are in search of a highly driven and talented R&D Engineer specializing in Preform Assembly to bolster our optical fiber initiatives in Somerset, NJ. The core responsibilities will encompass stacking and assembling glass preforms, operating precision latches, and ensuring exceptional cleanliness within our cleanroom manufacturing environment.

This position presents a unique opportunity to influence the evolution of optical fiber processing technology and significantly contribute to new product development. The ideal candidate will engage in equipment and process design, troubleshoot challenges, and innovate optical fiber fabrication techniques while collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple locations. This role will support R&D programs aimed at advancing optical fiber science and technology for various sectors including medical, aerospace, and telecommunications.
