In-depth knowledge of radar system operations. Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English (at least B1 level). Eager to learn, independent, inventive, and ambitious. Desire to translate innovative algorithms into practical applications for daily use. Experience in structured programming as part of a team using Git. Proficiency in prototyping with Python.

Your Role:

Join the security domain by leveraging your technical expertise as an R&D Engineer at NLR. In your role as an RF Signal Processing Engineer, you will be pivotal in developing algorithms to process data from operational satellites. Collaborating with your team, you will design and implement cutting-edge RF techniques used for monitoring and classifying RF signals, enhancing the effectiveness of operations within the security sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design testing/simulation environments for new signal processing techniques and algorithms.

  • Process RF data from satellites using signal processing techniques including detection, localization, filtering, tracking, and beamforming.

  • Collaborate on the Digital Signal Processing (DSP) architecture for future satellite missions.

  • Work within a multidisciplinary team of FPGA, System, RF, Software, and Payload Engineers.

  • Analyze satellite observations for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR).

Qualifications:
