Key Responsibilities:Design and test optical, electrical, or vacuum systems. Integrate electronic controllers with various sensors. Establish testing equipment and automate data collection processes. Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline, along with 2-5 years of relevant experience. Compliance with US export control laws mandates that Vector Atomic employees must be U. S. citizens (by birth or naturalization), lawful permanent residents (green card holders), or meet specific refugee or asylee criteria. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and partners. Hands-on Experience Required:Proficiency with lasers, optics, electronics, or vacuum systems within an R&D context. Experience in prototyping laser and optical systems. Familiarity with electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, pulse generators, power supplies, and voltmeters. Background in designing and assembling electromechanical systems. Knowledge in system integration, debugging, and PCB board bring-up. Ability to design custom enclosures for electronic assemblies addressing shielding, grounding, and thermal issues. Experience in creating custom cabling and interface boards. Proficient in computer-aided design and basic machining skills.
