Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 6 years of applicable experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license. Valid U. S. Driver’s License required for site visits, client meetings, and inter-office travel. The selected candidate must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review. Preferred Qualifications:10 years of experience in railway systems, specifically in overhead catenary systems and traction power.6 years of relevant experience in railway projects (OCS, traction power, track). Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microstation, GEOPAK, OpenRoads, or OpenRail. Previous experience working with agencies such as the Connecticut Department of Transportation, Metro-North Railroad, Amtrak, MBTA, or other passenger/commuter rail systems.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to collaborate with experienced rail professionals across the United States, focusing on projects that enhance transit systems, particularly in electrification and overhead catenary systems (OCS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute significantly to our premier rail design team.
  • Create detailed layout drawings, profiles, tabulations, erection diagrams, and technical specifications for overhead catenary systems.
  • Conduct quality control assessments and design verifications for railway projects.
  • Lead substantial project tasks and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local OCS regulations.
  • Act as project manager for medium to large-scale projects.
  • Coordinate team efforts and provide technical guidance on project scopes.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships related to design, construction, and project phasing.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff to build a robust team across New England.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and communication skills.
