Job Summary:

We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Real Estate Bookkeeper with proficiency in Appfolio to oversee financial transactions, ensure accurate record-keeping, and enhance property management operations. The perfect candidate will possess a solid foundation in real estate accounting, advanced skills in bookkeeping software, and the acumen to analyze financial information for compliance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Appfolio Management: Leverage Appfolio for efficient rent collection, owner distributions, expense monitoring, and financial reporting.
  • Financial Transactions: Handle accounts payable and receivable, bank statement reconciliation, and general ledger management.
  • Budgeting & Reporting: Create financial statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. Contribute to budget development and forecasting.
  • Property Accounting: Maintain detailed tenant and owner account records, process lease agreements, and track rental income accurately.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws, assist in filing processes, and keep precise financial documentation.
  • Vendor & Payroll Management: Execute vendor payments, manage payroll transactions, and ensure timely disbursements.
  • Audit & Compliance: Perform regular financial audits, maintain adherence to accounting standards, and suggest improvements for financial practices.
