Position Overview:
The Reconditioning Manager is a supervisory role within an Inspection Center, responsible for leading a team that manages daily operations within a Carvana Inspection Center. This position oversees all facets of the vehicle reconditioning process and directs a team consisting of at least five leads and up to 70 frontline associates in a lean manufacturing setup. The role is focused on fostering a culture of continuous improvement and enhancing associate engagement while achieving quality, production, and cost targets. Please note that this position does not qualify for visa sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operations within the Inspection Center.
- Provide mentorship and accountability to direct reports while supporting succession planning via effective coaching, leadership development, and performance management.
- Engage in the development and execution of strategic plans, goals, and objectives, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Guarantee compliance with operational standards, policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
- Foster a work environment that promotes positive communication, teamwork, and adherence to Carvana’s core values.
- Manage the supervisory staff by recruiting, selecting, onboarding, and training employees.
- Ensure consistent execution of training and certification processes for progression paths.
- Train and mentor leads and associates through competency-based feedback.
- Ensure adequate production capacity levels for each line and assist with production planning.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
