Education and Experience: A minimum of 6 months of experience in mechanical or refrigeration work is required, or you must be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program. Preferred experience in Process Safety Management (PSM). Experience with refrigeration systems, particularly ammonia refrigeration systems, is preferred. In-depth knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, and controls is advantageous. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are necessary for logging information, processing daily work orders, and completing required documentation. Must be able to learn and use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Effective communication and basic math skills are essential. Physical requirements include the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally, and lift 20 lbs. frequently. Must be able to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day. Ability to work in various conditions.

Join our team as a Refrigeration Maintenance Technician and take on a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our facility’s equipment. In this dynamic position, you will collaborate across various departments to enhance company performance while prioritizing safety through proactive maintenance and problem-solving strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver maintenance support under moderate supervision to guarantee the safe and effective functioning of equipment and the maintenance team.
  • Carry out routine preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Address emergency mechanical or electrical malfunctions as they arise.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Leverage your knowledge and troubleshooting skills to maintain all assigned production equipment safely.
  • Engage effectively with plant personnel to achieve both plant and individual objectives.
  • Work to minimize downtime caused by equipment failures.
