Role overview

This Regional Owner Operator - Tanker Driver position is based in Lexington, Kentucky. Drivers in this role typically spend three to five days on the road per trip, with regular opportunities to return home. Altom seeks owner operators who are business-minded and interested in a steady, long-term partnership.

Main responsibilities

  • Safe transportation: Haul chemical and petroleum loads in tank trailers, following all DOT and Hazmat regulations.
  • Equipment maintenance: Maintain your truck to meet inspection standards and ensure reliability for long hauls.
  • Loading and unloading: Adhere to all procedures for ISO/Flexi-Bag or tanker operations at pickup and delivery sites.
  • Compliance and documentation: Keep accurate logs, handle required paperwork, and ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
  • Customer service: Represent Altom professionally at every customer location.
  • Business management: Oversee fuel purchases, trip planning, and scheduling to optimize revenue.
  • Meet mileage or hour targets to maintain a consistent workload and support operational goals.
  • Remain available as needed, including 24/7, to fulfill customer and company requirements.
