Role overview

This Regional Owner Operator - Tanker Driver position is based out of Chicago, Illinois. Routes are regional, with a typical schedule of 3 to 5 days on the road followed by home time for a reset. The role centers on transporting chemical and petroleum loads safely and efficiently.

Main responsibilities

Transport chemical and petroleum products, following all DOT regulations
Keep equipment in excellent condition and ensure it passes inspections
Handle loading and unloading for ISO/Flexi-Bag or tanker operations as required
Maintain accurate logs, submit all required paperwork, and comply with Hazmat regulations
Represent Altom Transport professionally at customer locations
Manage business tasks such as fuel purchases, trip planning, and scheduling to support revenue goals
Meet mileage or hour targets to ensure steady work
Remain available for 24/7 operations when needed
