THE JOB
As a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician, you will become an integral part of our team on the front lines of emergency veterinary care. Your role will involve managing a variety of cases, from minor ailments to complex emergencies, in collaboration with our veterinary doctors to deliver exceptional, compassionate care. You will engage in triage, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, all while providing reassurance to pet owners during their most challenging times. This position is ideal for individuals eager to apply their skills, continue professional development, and make a difference when it matters most.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Treat every patient and their owner with respect and compassion, ensuring they feel supported throughout the treatment process.
- Provide immediate nursing care and emotional support during critical moments, from initial triage to discharge.
- Administer medications, perform monitoring, and execute various procedures, including IVs, CRIs, and blood transfusions.
- Work collaboratively with team members, fostering open communication and contributing to care plans.
- Be prepared to perform CPR with confidence, as we provide extensive training and support for our RECOVER-certified professionals.
