About the Role
Become part of a distinguished team of scientists and engineers who are redefining materials research in a pioneering laboratory where AI and automation facilitate discoveries at unmatched speed and scale. As a Research Scientist focusing on Thin Film Materials Discovery, you will spearhead thin-film synthesis initiatives utilizing advanced PVD platforms, establishing the experimental groundwork for autonomous discovery processes. This position involves collaboration with computational and AI scientists, as well as partnering with engineers to design next-generation automated laboratory systems.
Responsibilities
- Grow: Formulate synthesis strategies to realize novel thin-film materials predicted by AI.
- Characterize: Identify and control the crystal structures, defects, microstructures, and properties of previously unachieved compounds.
- Analyze: Collaborate with AI and computational teams to develop predictive models of materials growth and properties grounded in physics and chemistry.
- Automate: Collaborate with engineers to design, test, and implement automated growth and characterization systems.
