CPI Security is hiring a Residential Service Technician in Greensboro, NC. This role centers on installing and servicing security systems for homes and some commercial sites. Technicians assess each location, recommend additional products when appropriate, and help customers feel confident in their security setup. Outstanding performance in meeting customer needs and identifying upsell opportunities can lead to additional earnings.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and service residential security systems with accuracy and efficiency.
- Meet or exceed company performance targets.
- Walk through homes to determine optimal system placement and identify potential for additional sales.
- Communicate the service process clearly, including any drilling or wiring work.
- Connect systems to the central monitoring network, activate them, and demonstrate features to customers.
- Complete billing and payroll paperwork on time and accurately.
- Follow safety protocols to prevent injuries, property damage, or material loss.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service throughout each job.
- Report issues or concerns to management as needed.
- Clean up all work areas after each job is finished.
- Care for company vehicles, tools, and inventory.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Technical training in electronics, electrical, HVAC, or similar fields from a trade school or community college is a plus.
- Strong sales skills, especially in identifying and closing upsell opportunities.
