Key Responsibilities Perform regular inventory audits to guarantee accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established protocols.Maintain and update accurate records of inventory levels, encompassing quantities, locations, and movements within the company's systems.Reconcile physical inventory counts with system records to address discrepancies or inconsistencies.Work closely with procurement, warehouse, assembly, and other departments to optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts or overstock situations, and ensure timely availability of products or materials.Establish and uphold inventory management systems, procedures, and controls to enhance operational efficiency.Analyze inventory data and metrics to monitor performance indicators such as turnover rates, stock aging, and shrinkage, identifying areas for improvement.Collaborate with other departments to forecast inventory needs based on demand forecasts, sales trends, and production schedules, planning procurement activities accordingly.Investigate the root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Identify opportunities to streamline inventory processes and reduce costs through best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.Provide training and guidance to staff on proper inventory management protocols.Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and vendors to coordinate inventory-related activities.Generate and maintain documentation and reports related to inventory activities for analysis and decision-making.Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in inventory management.
