About the team:

The Fleet Operations Team is responsible for ensuring operational uptime and performance across Formic's expanding fleet of deployed robotic systems. In live manufacturing settings, the team identifies issues, restores production, and continually enhances system reliability at scale. Operating at the confluence of robotics, controls, and real-world factory execution, the Fleet Operations Team guarantees that Formic's automation delivers consistent and measurable performance across a variety of industrial applications.

About the role:

As a Robotics Field Service Engineer, you will serve as the primary technical point of contact for Formic’s deployed robotic cells. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing failures, restoring systems to operational status, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, and representing Formic directly at customer facilities.

This hands-on, high-responsibility position operates in uptime-critical environments. Your success will depend on your strong troubleshooting skills, composed execution during production disruptions, and meticulous documentation. Your contributions will directly influence fleet performance, customer satisfaction, and long-term system reliability.

In this role, you will:

  • Execute preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on robotic manufacturing cells.
  • Respond to remote and on-site escalations, diagnose root causes, and restore systems efficiently.
  • Provide hands-on technical support to customer operators and maintenance teams.
  • Document service activities and update assets meticulously.
