Location
This position is based onsite in our South East PA facility, five days a week.
Role Overview
As a vital member of our Implementation team, you will play a crucial role in bringing Standard Bots' integrated turn-key systems to life. Your responsibilities will include assembling and wiring robotic cells in our workshop, traveling to client sites to assist with machine installations alongside Automation Engineers, and serving as the primary point of contact for systems requiring attention post-deployment. You will thrive in both workshop settings and factory environments, taking pride in your meticulous work while adhering to safety protocols and communicating effectively when challenges arise.
Key Responsibilities
Shop Build & Wiring
• Assemble robotic automation cells based on mechanical drawings and BOMs (Bill of Materials), including framing, fixture mounting, and component installation.
• Wire electrical panels, junction boxes, and field devices according to engineering schematics and NEC standards.
• Route cables, conduits, and pneumatic lines within automation cells as per design specifications.
• Conduct pre-shipment checks, including continuity testing, sensor verification, and documentation of deviations.
Machine Installation
• Travel to client locations to install robotic automation systems in collaboration with Automation Engineers.
• Coordinate equipment rigging, anchoring, and utility connections with customer facility teams.
• Commission mechanical and electrical systems onsite, including equipment integration, alignment, cable dressing, and sensor setup.
• Assist with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) processes, ensuring all installation tasks are completed satisfactorily.
First-Line Support
• Be the first point of contact for clients when deployed systems require assistance.
