We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Roll Forming Machine Operator to join our automated metal production team in Adairsville, GA. In this role, you will operate state-of-the-art roll forming lines to create metal profiles, including uprights, adhering to precise design specifications. Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently operate a fully automated roll forming line, which includes uncoiler, straightener, punching press, roll former, and cutting press.
- Set up and fine-tune machine parameters in accordance with production orders through ERP/SAP systems.
- Coordinate with crane operators to load and switch coils safely.
- Conduct hourly and per-coil quality inspections focusing on aspects such as length, thickness, and perforations.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and assist with package strapping, including handling Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs).
- Identify and quarantine defective products while reporting issues to the production supervisor.
- Serve as the final quality assurance checkpoint for galvanized parts prior to shipment.
- Engage in scheduled 5S audits to sustain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
Equipment & Tools You Will Use:
- Roll forming line: uncoiler, straightener, punching & cutting presses.
- Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) systems for product logistics.
- ERP systems (SAP) for order tracking and production data entry.
- Measurement instruments: calipers, gauges, rulers.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety shoes, gloves, glasses, earplugs, hard hats.
Your Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or metal forming environment is essential.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Familiarity with computer operations and ERP systems, with SAP experience preferred.
- Forklift certification (Clark 5T) is advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Willingness to work in an industrial setting with noise and activity.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
