With an estimated daily volume exceeding 1,000 vehicles, the earning potential averages over $30 per hour, with opportunities for increased earnings based on efficiency and performance. Important Details About the Role: This is an independent contractor position, not an employee role. You are responsible for your own tools, equipment, and any associated expenses needed to perform your duties. As an independent contractor, you will manage your own schedule and workload to meet Bird's operational needs. Responsibilities Fleet Transportation: Use your vehicle(s) or fleet to collect, deploy, relocate, and retrieve e-scooters and e-bikes across Edmonton on a daily basis. Task-Based Operations (Choose your model): Retrieve & Charge (Highest Margin): Collect vehicles, charge them at your own secured facility, and deploy them the following morning. Retrieve & Drop-off: Collect vehicles and transport them to the local Bird warehouse for charging. Operational Management: Oversee the complete operation of your assigned portfolio, ensuring vehicles are available in high-demand areas. Maintenance & Quality: Conduct light field checks to ensure vehicles are safe and environmentally friendly. Field Execution: Solve problems in real-time to tackle obstacles, prioritize tasks, and navigate local geography efficiently.
