Role Overview
As the Sales Development Manager for EMEA at Anthropic, you will spearhead and expand our business development efforts across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You will build and oversee a team of 6-8 Business Development Representatives (BDRs) primarily based in Dublin. This position demands exceptional adaptability, cultural fluency across diverse European markets, and the ability to craft segment-specific strategies while navigating intricate regulatory frameworks and regional nuances. Your role will be critical in establishing Anthropic's regional footprint and laying the groundwork for sustainable growth in EMEA.
Key Responsibilities
Recruit, lead, and scale a team of 6-8 BDRs across EMEA markets including Southern Europe, Northern Europe, and DACH.
Develop and implement region-specific prospecting strategies that consider local market dynamics, cultural nuances, and competitive landscapes across various European markets.
Support all sales segments (Startups, Commercial, Enterprise) with the flexibility to shift resources in response to regional opportunities.
Collaborate with regional Account Executives and sales leadership to align pipeline generation with territory plans and revenue objectives.
Establish KPIs and tracking systems that account for regional differences while ensuring global consistency.
Create customized training programs and enablement materials that resonate with diverse European business cultures.
Foster and maintain relationships with regional marketing teams to enhance lead quality and campaign effectiveness.
Lead regional Pipeline Reviews with sales leadership, focusing on market-specific insights and growth potential.
Navigate complex hiring and employment regulations across multiple European countries, partnering with HR and Legal teams.
Mentor and develop BDRs on region-specific prospecting strategies and career advancement.
