Role overview

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) serves as the first point of contact for potential clients. Working in a hybrid capacity from either Atlanta, GA or Boston, MA, this role centers on engaging new leads, qualifying opportunities, and handing off prospects to the Sales team for further development.

Main responsibilities

  • Initiate and nurture relationships with prospects, guiding initial interest toward qualified opportunities.
  • Identify and qualify new business leads for BeyondTrust's solutions.
  • Transfer qualified leads to Sales Representatives for continued engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and current prospect records in Salesforce.
  • Expand product knowledge by participating in ongoing training sessions.
  • Attend field sales meetings when required.
  • Support marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns to help achieve revenue targets.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills with both internal teams and external contacts.
  • Ability to build positive relationships within the sales organization.
  • Comfort managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, and maintaining productivity.
  • Attentive listening skills to understand and respond to prospect needs.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Experience with phone communication, prospecting, sales, customer service, or similar interpersonal roles.
  • Professional background in a business environment.

Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
  • Understanding of software and cybersecurity concepts.
  • Experience with cold calling.
