The Sales Development Representative (SDR) role at Matia focuses on building early-stage sales momentum. This fully remote position (USA) centers on driving outreach, supporting go-to-market strategy, and contributing to the company’s growth trajectory.
What you will do
- Identify and connect with potential customers in data and engineering using cold calls, emails, social channels, and creative outreach methods.
- Schedule qualified meetings for Account Executives and, as experience grows, assist in closing deals.
- Collaborate with product teams to share customer feedback, highlight feature requests, and influence the product roadmap.
- Work closely with leadership and marketing to refine messaging and experiment with new market approaches.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to prospects, clearly explaining how Matia’s platform addresses their needs.
- Maintain accurate activity records and commitments in HubSpot and other sales tools for transparency and follow-through.
- Contribute to developing and improving top-of-funnel sales processes as the company grows.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of sales experience generating pipeline in the SaaS industry.
- Direct experience at a company selling data products.
- Ability to work through ambiguity, a builder’s mindset, and motivation to create new processes and frameworks. Interest in advancing within the company is valued.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
