A track record in outbound outreach — you’re comfortable starting conversations from scratch. Some hands-on cold calling experience (and the resilience that comes with it!). Previous sales experience — not a must, but definitely a plus.

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will be the first point of contact for potential SumUp merchants, introducing them to a product that genuinely makes a difference.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively reaching out to businesses via targeted outbound calls to understand their needs and evaluate their suitability for SumUp’s POS and payment solutions.
  • Qualifying merchants by collecting essential business information and providing insights on how our products can enhance their operations.
  • Scheduling high-quality, localized appointments for our Field Sales team to conduct comprehensive demos, negotiate terms, and finalize deals.
  • Focusing on outreach to merchants who have not initiated contact, utilizing outbound tools, lead lists, and historical opportunity data.
  • Playing a vital role in generating deals by ensuring the Field Sales team has a robust pipeline of well-matched, engaged prospects.
