Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:Translate mission requirements into robust communication system capabilities for advanced UAVs. Develop, analyze, and optimize link budgets to maximize performance in challenging environments. Model communication links and simulate system performance for informed design decisions and risk assessments. Design and implement cutting-edge signal processing and data algorithms that enhance performance. Architect scalable, high-performing end-to-end system solutions. Lead validation campaigns and system-level tests to ensure mission readiness. Integrate advanced communication hardware, including modems, antennas, and waveguides, into our flight platforms. Create comprehensive technical documentation that effectively communicates concepts to internal teams and external partners. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in software, avionics, flight systems, and defense projects. Engage with suppliers and partners to ensure alignment on specifications, quality, and timely delivery. What You Will Bring:Profound understanding of satellite communication systems, particularly RF and mmWave Satcom payloads. Expertise in RF communication architectures, modulation techniques, and waveform design. Solid knowledge of radio propagation phenomena, including multipath, fading, and link loss mitigation strategies. Proficiency in signal processing, particularly using Python or equivalent programming environments. Experience in system-level modeling and simulation to facilitate early-phase design processes. Familiarity with encryption and compression algorithms is advantageous. Knowledge of multi-beam antennas and beamforming/resource allocation algorithms is a plus. Exceptional ability to document complex systems in a clear and concise manner.
