Position Overview:
In the role of Applied AI Engineer, you will serve as a pivotal link between the R&D team and product development, transforming research prototypes into robust, production-ready AI capabilities. Your responsibilities will span the entire stack, integrating LLM- and agent-based systems into real-world workflows, ensuring their reliability, reproducibility, and maintainability in production settings.
This position demands strong engineering expertise to implement, test, deploy, and maintain AI-driven features in production, collaborating closely with researchers and software engineers to navigate real-world challenges such as quality, latency, cost, privacy, and reliability. A solid understanding of contemporary AI models, including LLMs and agentic architectures, is essential for making informed technical decisions and anticipating potential failure modes.
This position is located in Barcelona, Spain.

Your Mission:
- Applied AI Product Development: Collaborate with the team to design, build, and ship applied AI features, contributing from initial design to production rollout and subsequent enhancements.
- Requirements & Delivery: Transform user feedback and research prototypes into clear technical requirements and actionable delivery plans.
- LLM & Agent Workflows: Develop LLM-driven workflows, including tool-calling agents, structured output pipelines, retrieval/tool integrations, and safe prompting strategies.
- Production Engineering: Produce high-quality, production-grade code with clear abstractions, stable interfaces, and robust error handling.
