Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Engineering, you will spearhead initiatives to tackle complex protocol-level challenges concerning scalability, state growth, and latency, ultimately shaping the architectural framework for the future of Polygon PoS. This position is ideal for individuals with extensive expertise in protocol design and Golang development who are eager to build high-performance, resilient systems in a rapidly changing technological landscape.Your ResponsibilitiesLead the design and prototyping of innovative, long-term solutions to address scalability, latency, and state growth challenges on the Polygon PoS network.Drive architectural decisions across the PoS codebase, contributing to systems such as Geth, Cosmos SDK, or CometBFT as required.Identify and resolve intricate technical challenges relating to protocol behavior, consensus, and state synchronization.Promote code quality, comprehensive documentation, testing procedures, and developer best practices throughout the team.Mentor and assist engineers across the stack, elevating the overall technical standards.Collaborate cross-functionally with protocol researchers, DevOps, security, and ecosystem teams to deploy robust upgrades to the live network.What You'll Need7+ years of backend or protocol engineering experience, with at least 2 years in senior or staff-level positions.Extensive experience with Golang, ideally within decentralized or distributed systems.
