Qualifications
Key Responsibilities: Evaluate the effectiveness of current security measures. Design and deploy security solutions to mitigate identified vulnerabilities. Manage security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, data loss prevention, endpoint protection, mobile device management, SIEM, identity and access management, and vulnerability management. Respond promptly to security incidents and events. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments. Maintain security controls and propose risk treatment strategies. Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing regularly. Coordinate with global IT and cloud teams to ensure security across systems. Collaborate with the Security Operations Centre to resolve security issues. Ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIST. Update and review security program documentation. Support customer relations in line with commercial agreements. Develop and maintain security policies, processes, and guidelines. Assist with internal and external audits, providing guidance to teams. Ensure compliance with data privacy laws. Generate security reports for stakeholders. Recommend and implement new security tools and technologies. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements.

This position is on-site in Manchester and entails collaborating with the broader Vix Security team. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring that our technical teams adhere to security standards, successfully navigating security audits, and safeguarding both company and client data. You will be the first point of contact for addressing any security incidents.
