About the Team and Position

The Security Operations Center Lead plays a pivotal role in our 24/7/365 security team. This position involves analyzing and reporting on various risks, including facility intrusions, natural disasters, terrorism, civil unrest, and workplace violence. You will lead a team responsible for monitoring CCTV, access control, and alarm systems across Carvana sites nationwide, managing emergency phone lines, and supporting on-site Safe and Secure Associates in incident responses. Your leadership will guide team members in recognizing incidents that could jeopardize our sites, employees, or brand, while providing them with the coaching needed to assess impacts and respond effectively.

The ideal candidate is committed to team development and achieving results at both individual and team levels. You should possess the ability to communicate desired behaviors clearly, deliver timely feedback, and inspire your team to balance urgency and quality in their work.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Oversee day-to-day activities of the assigned team, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and determining opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze trends and outcomes, formulating strategies to meet team objectives.
  • Engage with team members, providing coaching, performance management, and constructive feedback to demonstrate essential skills.
