SECURITY OPERATIONS ENGINEER

The Security Operations Engineer will take the lead in enhancing our security landscape through expert project management, data analysis, and compliance oversight in a dynamic, high-tech environment. You will collaborate closely with our security team and lead cross-functional efforts to optimize security operations and risk management initiatives, thus ensuring seamless support for overall business functions. Your role will involve driving initiatives to create and maintain analytical dashboards for real-time monitoring, refining existing systems, conducting detailed data analyses to uncover trends and risks, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. This position is ideal for innovative leaders ready to apply operations management and data analytics principles to tackle complex security challenges, perform in-depth problem analysis, and guide strategic decision-making within the organization.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and oversee security projects from initiation to completion, focusing on planning, resource allocation, timeline management, and stakeholder collaboration to boost operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Continuously monitor, analyze, and provide strategic insights, while executing improvements against key performance indicators for security operations, including incident response times, threat detection rates, compliance scores, breach incidents, training completion rates, vulnerability resolutions, risk assessment scores, resource utilization efficiency, and budget adherence.
  • Design, develop, and manage interactive dashboards utilizing platforms such as Power BI, JIRA, or similar tools to visualize security metrics, incident data, and performance indicators for informed decision-making.
  • Conduct comprehensive data analyses on security logs, incident reports, and operational metrics to identify trends, vulnerabilities, and emerging threats, delivering actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as IT, facilities, and HR) to integrate security best practices into business operations and implement corrective measures based on analytical findings.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
