Role Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Security Operations Specialist to provide comprehensive security support within our Special Access Program (SAP) facility. The successful candidate will coordinate and oversee activities at the F-35 Joint Program Office's 1550 conference center, engaging effectively with high-ranking military officials and senior executives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Program Access Requests (PARs) via authorized channels.
  • Manage all administrative security tasks related to SAP material, including receipt, transmission, inventory, and disposition.
  • Develop and maintain PSO-approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each F-35 facility, ensuring current and compliant SAP processes.
  • Support Security Education and Training initiatives.
  • Facilitate SAP visit certifications for authorized personnel.
  • Maintain SAP facility accreditations and manage the program's post office box.
  • Conduct annual self-inspections of SAP programs and report findings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of DoD and Service security regulations related to activity, physical, and information security.
  • In-depth understanding of NISPOM and JAFAN series security requirements.
  • Proficiency in managing challenging situations constructively.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours as needed.
  • Self-motivated, proactive individual with a professional demeanor.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, paired with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
