Security / SOC Analyst III - Contract Opportunity

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the cybersecurity domain, specifically in Incident Response, threat monitoring, and incident management. Ability to assess the detection requirements for new data sources integrated into the SIEM, along with evaluating existing SIEM detection cases to identify any gaps or overlaps in detection capabilities. Expertise in performing security monitoring and incident response, accurately categorizing events as cybersecurity incidents. Proficiency in triaging alerts to eliminate false positives. Hands-on experience in developing detection or protection strategies based on established industry standards and frameworks. Familiarity with tools such as SIEM, Endpoint Detection and Response, Firewall/IPS/IDS, Proxy, Data Loss Prevention, and Authentication systems. Experience in leveraging data from security technologies and reference data sources to define security detection requirements, including correlations across multiple data sources. Strong coding skills to support the development of detection cases.
