  • Job Overview

    The Segment Controller plays a pivotal role in ensuring precise and timely financial reporting that aligns with US GAAP and SOX compliance standards. This position provides essential financial analyses and insights crucial for strategic decision-making, while overseeing general ledger reconciliations, audits, and risk management. The Segment Controller is also responsible for driving process enhancements and standardization throughout accounting operations.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting and Financial Oversight
    • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, guaranteeing accurate and prompt reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial results, positions, and trends, preparing a comprehensive monthly financial reporting package that compares current and prior period outcomes, while clearly explaining significant variations and their underlying factors.
    • Ensure adherence to all accounting activities in line with internal policies, SOX regulations, and audit requirements.
    • Manage and supervise the general ledger accounting reconciliation process across all business segments, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance.
    • Identify, lead, and implement opportunities for process improvements and standardization.
    • Prepare and present detailed financial reporting packages featuring variance analysis and trend insights.
    • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and compliance assessments.
  • Leadership & Team Development
    • Guide and mentor a team of accounting and financial analysts to achieve operational excellence.
    • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and compliance within the team.
    • Engage with cross-functional teams to share information and ensure seamless collaboration.
