ROLE OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead design reviews (DFM) for R&D prototype fixture design, manufacturing equipment, and custom tooling, ensuring readiness for new product launches.
  • Drive automation strategy, ensuring hardware meets strict performance and regulatory standards.
  • Support the complete development of automation systems, from initial design through to installation at global contract manufacturing sites.
  • Act as the technical lead for equipment qualification, managing Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
  • Systematically troubleshoot complex system failures down to the component level, minimizing downtime during product scale-up.
  • Identify root causes of equipment and system test failures.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of machine design and qualification, including calibration, correlation, capability, repeatability, reproducibility, and proficiency in data analytics and statistical methods.
  • Develop and oversee the writing of User Requirement Specifications, Statements of Work, and manufacturing requirement specifications.

KEY SUCCESS DELIVERABLES:

  • Successful execution of FAT/SAT: Seamless documentation of equipment qualification for at least two major production lines.
  • Yield Optimization: Creation of statistical reports that refine pass/fail criteria, leading to a tangible reduction in scrap rates.
  • Process Stability: Completion of Gauge R&R and CPK studies demonstrating machine capability (Cpk > 1.33) for critical quality dimensions.
  • Failure Resolution: Decrease in Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) through structured troubleshooting guides for contract manufacturing organizations (CMO).
