Join Us in Shaping a Sustainable Future At Emidat, we are pioneering the first climate-native product management system tailored for building material manufacturers. Our mission is to decarbonize building materials, which currently account for 11% of global greenhouse gas emissions. By capturing data from actual production processes, we create a digital product passport that includes verified environmental data, making it accessible throughout the value chain. In essence, we provide a comprehensive solution for assessing, designing, purchasing, selling, and managing products with environmental impact at the forefront. We are constructing the digital infrastructure that facilitates faster, easier, and more sustainable construction practices worldwide.Discover more about our team and values here.Your RoleYour missionAs a Software Engineer focusing on Digital Twin technology, you will create a living digital representation of the complete product lifecycle of manufacturers. This system will be perpetually updated and connected, fully programmable by both humans and agents, intended to be the definitive source of truth for internal teams as well as for the EU's Digital Product Passport framework. Our backend is envisioned not merely as a system that supports a frontend, but as a structured, event-driven, compliance-grade model of a product's reality. This model is designed for interaction with various consumers, such as UIs, APIs, agents, ERPs, BIM tools, and regulatory bodies. As part of our engineering team, you will be instrumental in designing the data backbone that supports Emidat's entire product surface and ensures compliance with EU regulations. The decisions made in the coming year will influence the platform's trajectory for decades to come.In your first 6 months, you will:Drive Emidat's long-term growth by architecting and implementing the foundation that empowers manufacturers to effectively capture, connect, and act upon their production lifecycles.Integrate various ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics), PIM systems, and supplier databases. This will involve developing an integration protocol that withstands upstream chaos while ensuring a clean and normalized internal model.Create future-proof APIs that serve not only a human-driven frontend but also AI agents conducting autonomous update cycles, third-party DPP platforms, and logistics systems. You will work closely with designers, LCA experts, and customer success teams to translate real manufacturing workflows and sustainability requirements into actionable solutions.
