About the job
Our Vision
At Vertical Aerospace, we are at the forefront of revolutionizing electric aviation. Our flagship eVTOL aircraft, the Valo, is set to redefine safety standards in air travel while achieving 'zero emissions' by setting a new benchmark for how we traverse the skies.
We aim to transform the aerospace industry by departing from traditional practices and embracing innovative best practices. As we transition from a prototype-focused enterprise to a scaling SME, the coming years will be pivotal in realizing our ambitious objectives. With a target for airliner-level safety certification in 2028, we are poised to serve our airline partners and operators effectively.
Your Role
As a Senior Aircraft Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role within our engineering team, contributing to the assembly of the Valo as a cohesive and certifiable aircraft. You will lead interdisciplinary initiatives to define and integrate various systems, collaborating closely with teams specializing in safety, avionics, propulsion, and structures. This role is ideal for a systems thinker who excels in complex environments and is passionate about bringing groundbreaking aircraft designs to fruition.
