Role overview

The Senior Analyst of IT SOX Controls helps lead and execute the company’s Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) program, focusing on IT controls. Reporting to the Director of Internal Controls & SOX, this position works with technology and process owners to document controls, conduct walkthroughs, test effectiveness, and support remediation efforts. The analyst also looks for ways to strengthen controls and improve processes across the company.

What you will do

  • Support the development and execution of the SOX function
  • Assist with SOX IT risk assessments and scoping activities
  • Work with Technology teams and application owners to maintain and update SOX process and control documentation
  • Review changes to applications, tools, and infrastructure to confirm SOX controls are properly designed and implemented
  • Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on SOX control requirements
  • Facilitate SOX-related requests, lead design walkthroughs, and conduct controls effectiveness testing
  • Share audit findings and work with control owners to develop remediation plans
  • Recommend improvements for IT General Controls and automated controls
  • Create and maintain periodic controls effectiveness monitoring procedures
  • Coordinate with Technology, Accounting, Compliance, and External Auditors on SOX and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in technology-driven projects to enhance internal controls and operational efficiency

This position is based in Chicago.
