What You’ll Do:Craft tailored solutions for diverse use cases by researching and benchmarking suitable algorithms. Utilize machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques to develop scalable product features. Oversee the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of both new and existing production features. Engage in our journal club by reviewing and presenting the latest academic research to the team. Analyze and narrate the insights derived from vast volumes of data processed through Datadog systems. Manage and oversee the models, services, and infrastructure under your team's purview. Participate in the on-call rotation for your team. Who You Are:You possess a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related scientific discipline, or have equivalent experience. You have hands-on experience with high-scale systems and datasets, including model development, application of machine learning to real-world business challenges, and crafting production data pipelines. You can communicate complex concepts and algorithms to non-technical stakeholders clearly. You are passionate about code simplicity and performance optimization. You are eager to contribute to a user-facing product.

As a Senior Applied Scientist, you will be instrumental in developing models and algorithms that power machine learning features on the Datadog platform. Collaborating closely with our engineering and product teams, you will explore, build, scale, and deliver innovative features that we nurture within the Applied AI team.
