Qualifications
REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in a relevant field is required. A minimum of 8 years of related professional experience is required. Active Architectural Registration in the United States is mandatory. Strong proficiency in architectural design and project management. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Experience in sustainable design practices is advantageous.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The ideal candidate will serve as an Architect, overseeing the technical development and content of diverse projects. This role involves coordinating efforts across various disciplines to ensure cohesive deliverables while ensuring compliance through effective team collaboration.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead design elements, production processes, coordination, and architectural detailing within a multidisciplinary team.
- Coordinate engineering systems with engineers and consultants, collaborating closely with Design Leadership to realize design intentions.
- Develop design sketches for moderately complex site plans.
- Articulate project status, design intents, construction updates, and other vital information clearly to owners, consultants, and clients.
- Engage in Business Development initiatives, in partnership with Marketing and Office Leadership, to foster growth.
- Conduct field site observations, which often require physical walkthroughs of the site.
- Integrate performance-based and sustainable design strategies into solutions wherever feasible.
- Contribute actively to project teams by utilizing the CannonDesign Method, incorporating best practices, standards, tools, templates, and technology to enhance service delivery and productivity.
- Create an inspiring and rewarding environment that promotes design and technical excellence.
- Encourage critical thinking and constructive critique of work; share lessons learned with team members.
- Provide mentorship to interns and guide less experienced team members.
- Ensure the technical quality of projects by enforcing QA/QC standards while meeting all statutory requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
