Role ResponsibilitiesArchitect, design, and develop space and radiation-hardened electronics that ensure the reliable operation of our satellites. Lead the electronic design process from concept through to qualification, including requirements gathering, architecture definition, component selection, schematic capture, layout, simulation, DFx, bringup, and verification. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, thermal, software, RTL, RF, GNC, and manufacturing engineers to tackle complex challenges and devise innovative solutions. Work closely with our Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to ensure designs are manufacturable, delivered on time, and comply with Astranis's quality and reliability standards. Develop and manage project schedules, keeping stakeholders informed throughout the process. Contribute to establishing optimal processes for hardware development and interdepartmental collaboration. Assist in recruiting and onboarding new team members to enhance our growing team.

Senior Avionics Engineer

In this pivotal role as a Senior Electrical Engineer on our Avionics team, you will take charge of designing sub-systems that underpin the internal communication, power distribution, sensor aggregation, and flight computer systems of our satellites. You will be the architect of our avionics systems, facilitating critical design discussions and collaborating with engineers across various disciplines to develop cutting-edge solutions that challenge the limits of satellite technology.
