About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Back End Engineer to develop and enhance the systems that drive iwoca's operations in the German market. You will collaborate within a dynamic, cross-functional engineering team tasked with building proprietary tools such as our CRM system, utilized daily by our German operations team. You will spearhead significant projects from inception to delivery, leveraging your technical expertise to enhance our services for small businesses while fostering the growth of the overall engineering team.

The Team

Our DE Tech team is an expanding group of engineers divided into three cross-functional teams. Together, we build and maintain essential systems, including underwriting, notifications, and account management tools, that empower over 300 colleagues in sales, credit, and collections. As our German business scales, these teams are innovating beyond incremental improvements to fundamentally enhance operational workflows, ensuring that we can respond quickly and reliably to the needs of our customers.

Your Contributions

In this role, you will engineer systems vital to both internal and external teams in delivering outstanding customer service. You will oversee engineering processes from problem identification to implementation, witnessing the direct impact of your work in everyday applications. Your designs will underpin back-end services that facilitate core operational tasks, including customer communications and underwriting.
