Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to enhance our trading platform, the core infrastructure that supports everything from API order intake to position management and clearing. Your primary focus will be on ensuring core quality attributes such as high-throughput processing, low-latency response times, robust fault tolerance, and stringent security controls across the stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services for order routing, risk assessments, and balance tracking.
- Optimize the platform's performance for low-latency API responses and real-time data feeds.
- Ensure platform resilience under load through circuit breakers, graceful degradation, and automated recovery mechanisms.
- Implement and monitor security protocols including API key access, rate limits, and trade validation.
- Create unit and integration tests with comprehensive coverage and measurable service level agreements (SLAs).
- Engage in incident response and postmortems to drive continuous improvement in system reliability.
