Role overview
This Senior Backend Engineer position focuses on building and maintaining backend systems for a large mass media and broadcasting platform. The systems must support millions of users during global, high-traffic events, where sub-second latency and high availability are critical. The backend infrastructure handles large-scale data throughput and must operate with minimal downtime.
What you will do
- Design and implement scalable, event-driven architectures for live-streaming data, interactive fan features, and real-time notifications.
- Develop type-safe backend services using Node.js and TypeScript, emphasizing performance and maintainability.
- Manage persistent live connections with Socket. IO, ensuring seamless data flow between servers and millions of clients.
