Must possess a TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required. At least 5 years of experience in supporting battlespace awareness programs within the DoW. Excellent communication skills and a proactive, self-starting attitude are essential. Professional proficiency in English is mandatory. Demonstrated expertise in all Microsoft Office applications is required. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Avalore will not sponsor work visas for this position.

About the job

The Senior Battlespace Awareness Analyst at avalore provides advanced insight and strategic guidance to senior leadership, supporting the management of the Battlespace Awareness (BA) Portfolio for USW(I&S). This position is based in Arlington, Virginia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise senior leaders with expert analysis to strengthen the BA Portfolio and its alignment with operational, acquisition, and policy needs.
  • Assess current and future Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) and environmental systems, processes, and programs within the Department of the Navy (DoW) and Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Produce deliverables such as initial data categorization guidance, data collection and management strategies, tool and repository evaluations, business rule development, and criteria for corporate review.
  • Analyze large data sets and develop analytics and visualization tools to highlight trends, detect anomalies, and support data-driven oversight and decision-making.
  • Design, update, and maintain both general and specialized dashboards to support timely decisions across the BA capability portfolio, DoW Mission Areas, and the broader IC.
  • Conduct research and analysis, draft formal documents, review and analyze texts, and prepare briefs, memoranda, and letters for OSW staff packages in line with OSW policies.
  • Oversee electronic file management across systems (NIPR, SIPR, JWICs), ensuring compliance with NARA file retention and management regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned
