We are on the lookout for a Senior Benefits Analyst to become a vital part of our People and Culture team. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Global Benefits, you will play a pivotal role in crafting, executing, and managing benefits and retirement programs across Canada and the U. S. Your contributions will be essential in aligning our benefits programs with our Total Rewards strategy, fostering an environment in which Lightspeeders can truly excel.
Your responsibilities will include:
Creating, implementing, and overseeing group benefits, retirement savings, and perks programs in line with Lightspeed’s global benefits strategy.
Leading the annual benefits renewal and facilitating the open enrollment process.
Managing vendor selection and oversight for benefits and retirement plans, ensuring they meet our performance and service standards.
Assisting in the administration and ongoing enhancement of leave of absence programs, including short- and long-term disability, parental leave, and various other leave types across Canada and the U. S.
Establishing and monitoring key metrics to assess program effectiveness and identify emerging trends.
Collaborating with global brokers to evaluate market trends and ensure alignment with the company’s overarching strategy.
Working closely with HRIS, payroll, business partners, and other stakeholders to pinpoint system needs, troubleshoot issues, and enhance data accessibility and flow.
Providing support to employees and HR teams on complex escalated issues, ensuring effective resolution.

We seek a candidate with the following qualifications:
Extensive experience in managing benefits programs.
Comprehensive understanding of employee benefits programs in both Canada and the U. S.
Demonstrated experience in vendor and broker management, including the RFP process.
Strong analytical skills and metrics tracking for program evaluation.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on problem-solving and collaboration.
