As a Senior Civil Engineer at AECOM, you will play a pivotal role in delivering significant civil infrastructure projects with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for managing portions of broader civil/site infrastructure assignments while ensuring adherence to budget and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and oversee portions of civil/site infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with budgetary and scheduling constraints.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret engineering data in accordance with established protocols.
- Independently design essential elements of civil works, including:
- Stormwater systems (pit and pipe networks, major/minor systems, detention, and drainage strategies).
- Bulk earthworks (grading, level coordination, and cut/fill balance).
- Basic water and wastewater infrastructure (reticulation layouts, service coordination, and constructability).
- Integrate Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) principles where applicable to achieve practical and compliant outcomes.
- Maintain a strong quality focus through rigorous design checks, documentation accuracy, and adherence to standards.
- Develop innovative solutions for new challenges by adapting standard methods and leveraging lessons learned from previous projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to effectively manage project interfaces, including utility coordination, site constraints, and construction feasibility.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers to enhance their professional development and foster best practices in engineering.
