ABOUT THE JOB
The Senior Cost Value Engineer for Intelligence Systems, known internally as the Senior Product Sourcing Engineer, plays a crucial role in developing strategic supply networks and managing costs associated with Anduril's product hardware throughout their lifecycles. This position entails close collaboration with suppliers and cross-functional teams across engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing sectors. You will assume full ownership of the supply chain for the Anduril Intelligence & Space business line, providing engineering support, vendor onboarding and development, as well as sourcing, pricing, and negotiating for the complete Bill of Materials (BOM).
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Thoroughly analyze the engineering Bill of Materials (BOM), partnering with engineering teams to ensure that designed components can be efficiently sourced and procured within targeted cost parameters.
- Conduct supplier selection for specific products, utilizing our approved supplier list while onboarding distinctive vendors to meet the demands of the Space & Intelligence business team.
- Innovate delivery strategies to ensure timely product release by overcoming traditional Space industry lead-times and supply limitations.
- Collaborate with strategic suppliers to expedite product development through initiatives such as:
- Concept scoping to quickly finalize requirements
- Feature trade-off analysis
- Cost modeling and clean sheet analysis
- Joint design development through well-defined statements of work
- Simulation of mechanical and electronics designs
- Lead the creation and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM, collaborating with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to initiate production with both internal and supplier capabilities, maintaining high flexibility.
- Oversee the total cost of the program, including New Product Introduction (NPI) and related aspects.
