Your Contribution:

Pearce is in search of a Senior Critical Power Field Technician (UPS Field Engineer) for the Columbus, OH area. Ideal candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence and a strong desire to acquire new skills. As a Senior UPS Field Service Engineer, your role will involve providing on-site preventive, corrective, and restorative maintenance for critical power systems including UPS units, DC systems, inverters, power distribution units (PDUs), static transfer switches (STS), and standalone reserve battery technologies. You will be expected to embody a 'hit-the-ground-running' mentality and employ innovative thinking to deliver prompt and effective solutions that meet our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install various electrical equipment, including small rack-mounted UPS systems, batteries of varying sizes, and UPS/Battery monitoring devices.
  • Maintain battery cabinets and racks, maintenance bypasses, battery monitoring systems, DC systems, and other electrical components.
  • Conduct periodic and lifecycle-driven services, including troubleshooting, component replacement, and battery string installations.
  • Foster strong customer relationships through exceptional service and effective upselling of products.
  • Field troubleshooting and technical support as required.
