We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in designing, building, and scaling innovative data solutions that enhance analytics, operational reporting, and strategic business decision-making across the organization. Collaborating closely with our data, analytics, and business teams, you will create high-quality data pipelines, models, and integrations to provide clean, reliable, and actionable data.
You will be part of a small, cross-regional engineering team that operates with a product-oriented approach, delivering iterative value while closely partnering with business and analytics stakeholders. You will take ownership of both the build and operational responsibilities of a mission-critical platform.
What to Expect?
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformations across multiple systems and sources.
- Develop high-quality data models that support analytics, reporting, and operational use cases.
- Collaborate with analytics, product, and business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Implement robust data quality, validation, and monitoring processes to ensure data reliability and trustworthiness.
- Optimize data storage, processing, and performance within cloud data warehousing environments.
- Contribute to the continuous development and enhancement of our modern data platform, including tools, standards, and best practices.
- Support data platform operations by troubleshooting issues, enhancing reliability, and ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Work with cross-functional teams on data governance, documentation, definitions, and stewardship.
- Apply CI/CD practices and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) to automate deployment, testing, and environment management.
- Engage in code reviews, design discussions, and operational on-call rotations as needed.
- Share your expertise by mentoring team members and promoting data engineering best practices.
What You Need to Succeed?
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar technical role.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
- Proficient in building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like dbt, Airflow, or equivalent frameworks.
- Expertise in Python or another scripting language.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, data structures, and modern data engineering practices.
