What You Will Do
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the end-to-end lifecycle of our large-scale data ingestion and transformation engine. You will be involved in the complete engineering process: designing, developing, scaling, and maintaining our data pipelines that manage substantial data streams of up to 100 TB per day. This position encompasses advanced greenfield data engineering while delving into intricate hospitality data domains, as well as enhancing and supporting the stability and quality of existing pipelines.
Your Impact Areas
- End-to-End Pipeline Engineering: Design, build, and deploy scalable data pipelines that ingest data from various sources such as APIs, Webhooks, SFTP, and Cloud Storage.
- Domain Modeling: Create and implement complex domain modeling and transformation logic to unify disparate data sources into high-fidelity data products.
- Architectural Improvements: Transition legacy processes and components into modern, scalable, and stable data architectures.
- Operational Excellence: Enhance the reliability and quality of our data pipelines through advanced observability, automated testing, automation, and self-healing features to preemptively resolve root causes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product teams, other engineering groups, support services, business teams, customers, and partners.
- Technical Resolution: Lead investigations and resolve complex technical issues, performing in-depth analyses of our code and systems to identify root causes.
- Engineering Velocity: Accelerate development by strategically employing AI to enhance productivity and utilizing AI and automation to simplify debugging, root-cause investigations, and repetitive tasks.
