Team focus
The Data Platform team builds and maintains the core systems behind Rocket Money’s data-driven products. This group develops and supports infrastructure for collecting, processing, and delivering data to teams across analytics, machine learning, and software engineering. Engineers here work closely with other groups to ensure accurate data capture, resilient pipelines, and reliable self-service access for stakeholders.
As the team grows, there is a shift toward formalizing standards and practices that will scale. Current tools include dbt, BigQuery, and Terraform, but the emphasis is on shaping architecture and defining how Rocket Money manages data for the future. Autonomy is high, but collaboration remains central as the platform evolves.
What you will do
- Own the data platform infrastructure from end to end, focusing on security, usability, and performance. Collaborate with analytics, machine learning, and software engineering teams to support their data needs.
- Help guide decisions on data tooling, pipeline design, and governance. Create user-friendly interfaces that promote best practices across the team.
- Work proactively to improve data reliability by identifying and addressing issues at their source.
